Gina, Patient Coordinator
Gina has 14 years of experience in dental offices, including the past 3 with Shallowford Family Dental Group. She has been working on her Business Management degree, which she will complete in fall 2009.
“I am truly blessed to work with such a great group and to get to do what I love every day. I enjoy dealing with the patients and having a part in helping them to have a positive experience with our office.”
She has a teenage son who she is extremely proud of. She enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, and taking Harley rides with her husband.
Jennette, New Patient and Hygiene Coordinator
Jennette has been with Shallowford Family Dental Group for more than 4 years as the new patient and hygiene coordinator. She says her position allows her the unique opportunity to meet each patient that comes to our office. “I love being able to greet each patient and say hello with a smile."
Jennette's passion is taking care of people and doing a great job. She keeps in mind that many are fearful of coming to the dentist and takes personal pride when she is able to help them feel comfortable. "We have an awesome group of 17 women here to support 4 great doctors; I believe we provide the best care you can find in Chattanooga."
When she isn't working, Jennette spends her time with her daughter Emma, her boyfriend, Rusty, and his son, Dylan. You can usually find them at the pool or on the lake!
Robin, Financial Coordinator
Robin joined the team at Shallowford Family Dental Group as financial coordinator in 2004; bringing with her many years of experience and an extensive background in both the dental and medical field.
In her current position, Robin is eager to assist existing and new patients with their financial concerns regarding their dental care. Her objective for all patients is to be able to provide them with an exceptional dental experience while helping them achieve their dental goals.
Away from the practice, Robin enjoys spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Cindy, Dental Assistant
Cindy graduated from Tyner High School in 2000 with Honors within the top ten percent of her graduating class. Then continuing her education, she attended and graduated from Chattanooga State Technical College’s Dental Assisting Program. She graduated and received her statewide registration and national certificate as a dental assistant.
Cindy was involved with the Hamilton County mentorship program her senior year of high school, where Dr. David Lewis became her mentor. After graduating in 2001, Cindy started working with Dr. Lewis. Cindy and Dr. Lewis joined the staff of Shallowford Family Dental Group in April 2002.
In 2007, Cindy joined Dr. Charles Ankar. Through the many years of dental assisting, she has continued to enjoy providing quality care and comfort to patients. Cindy takes extreme pride in her work and ethics.
Cindy married in November 2008 and hopes to start a family in the near future. She loves playing with her dog, Lily. Cindy is constantly smiling and laughing. She goes out of her way to make everyone happy.
Malinda, Dental Assistant
Malinda brings over 10 years of dental assisting experience to our office.
She enjoys helping patients understand procedures and to feel more at ease in the dental chair. “We want to help our patients to obtain a healthy smile they can be proud of, “Malinda says.
Malinda resides in Hixson and enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs.
Hope, Dental Assistant
Hope Sively has been a dental assistant for sixteen years; graduating from Chattanooga State in 1993. She has worked with Dr. Joseph Prince since 2002 and joined Shallowford Family Dental Group along with Dr. Prince.
Hope takes great pride in her work and making patients feel comfortable. She works in a family environment with over 100 years of experience among the doctors and enjoys the challenge.
Hope lives in Ooltewah, TN with her husband and two boys.
Kala, Dental Assistant
Kala has been a dental assistant for 1 year with experience in quality care. She loves making patients feel at ease when coming to the dentist. Kala continues to advance her career through yearly continuing education classes to keep her up to date on new material and techniques.
She has spent her entire career at Shallowford Family Dental Group. Kala has recently become engaged to a wonderful guy and plans on having a family, but currently has a Maltese named Chloe.
Mary, Dental Assistant
Mary has been a dental assistant for over 12 years. She has been with Shallowford Family Dental group for 5 years. She enjoys being a dental assistant not only to make the patients look and feel better, but also getting to know the patients personally.
Mary is also responsible for making sure all the doctors and hygienists have all the supplies that are needed to make all our patients smile.
Mary is single and enjoys spending her time with family and her animals.
Sherry, Registered Dental Hygienist
Sherry has been working with Shallowford Family Dental Group for 10 years. She began her career as a registered dental assistant for several years before deciding to pursue a career as a registered dental hygienist.
Sherry has a vast knowledge of dental health and is an expert at treating patients. She has a great rapport with patients and other staff.
She enjoys spending weekends with her family and summer outdoor activities.
Candy, Dental Hygienist
Candy has been a dental hygienist with Dr. Lewis for 17 years! The past 7 years have been here with Shallowford Family Dental Group. She values the relationships she has developed over the years with her patients and continually strives to meet their dental needs.
When asked about what she likes about being here, Candy says "I am proud of the quality of care that we provide our patients and the camaraderie of the staff which makes work fun!"
Life outside the office is filled with family, friends, gardening and walking. She especially loves spending time spoiling her grandson, Devin.
Joy, Dental Hygienist
Joy has worked her entire professional career as a dental hygienist. The last 4 years have been at Shallowford Family Dental Group. She is proud to be a member of an upbeat professional team. She enjoys developing relationships with patients of all ages and helping them reach their dental goals and healthy smiles.
Joy's life outside the office is involved with family, friends and her dog, Dudley. She is interested in decorating, cooking and travel. She also enjoys volunteer charity work.
Sally, Dental Hygienist
Sally joined our team after graduating hygiene school with honors in 2004. She brings with her a positive and upbeat personality. Sally loves building a great relationship with her patients while helping them to achieve a beautiful and healthy smile. She enjoys patients of all ages.
"The professionalism of our staff and the relaxed environment we create is what I like best about our office. We are always continuing our education to stay on the cutting edge,” says Sally.
Away from work Sally loves camping and outdoor activities with her wonderful husband of 18 years Bill and their dogs.
Leah
Leah is a new addition to the clinical staff at Shallowford Family Dental Group. She is a recent graduate from Chattanooga State. She is a resident of Trenton, GA.
